"It's awful being a grownup, but the carousel never stops turning." -Ellis Grey, Grey's Anatomy
When I ended my last post saying that my next adventure would be a surprise for the both of us, I could not have been more right. I was expecting maybe a day trip somewhere or something cool in the city, but no, I reached Grey's Anatomy status instead. I got sick last Sunday, and after "ignoring it til it goes away" failed as a get better tactic, I ended up spending two nights in the hospital. This was not a fun experience. I had four different translators who rotated through because none of the doctors spoke english, which meant most of the time I had no idea what was going on.
And then they did one of those tests where they stick the scope up your nose and down your throat. I think I'm still traumatized from that. They promised it wouldn't hurt but they LIED. It hurt a lot. It turned out I had tonsillitis, but I am feeling MUCH better now. Thanks to everyone for the prayers, well wishes, and much needed Skype calls to help me maintain my sanity during those few days.
