"Life was meant for good friends and great adventures"
Alright fine, I didn't actually go to Hogwarts (why isn't there a study abroad program there?), but I did spend the weekend in London! I met Bailey and Casey Friday morning in front of Buckingham Palace, which was basically a movie reunion moment: spot each other in a crowd and then run in for the hug. It was so fantastic to see a familiar face (and to speak in English and actually be able to read the signs).
We didn't have any sort of plan for the rest of the day, or for the rest of the weekend actually (which I highly recommend traveling this way), so we planned as we went. We hit all the highlights: The London Eye, Parliament and Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly Circus, The tower of London, Tower Bridge, and King's Cross station. We toured inside the Buckingham Palace, which was incredible! Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures inside, but it was gorgeous. We went inside Westminster Abbey, where we also weren't allowed to take pictures, but there's definitely an illegal picture below, along with some more of my favorites from the trip!
