"I have an insane calling to be where I'm not"
Two weekends ago, I took my last trip for the semester with ISA. We went to five different cities over the course of the weekend. First stop was Girona, which is a gorgeous town in the north of Spain. It reminded me a lot of Florence actually. Although I really enjoyed the walking tour, I think my favorite part of the visit was getting to play with a 4 month old black lab!
Then we went to Figueres to visit the Dalí museum. Some of you might recognize the melting clock as one of his works, which is not in this museum, but a lot of other crazy stuff was.

Then it was time for France!! We spent two nights in Toulouse in the South of France. It rained all day on Saturday, so our exploring day was very cold. I was also not smart enough to check the weather when I was packing so I didn't bring a rain coat or an umbrella. And I only brought one pair of shoes, which were soaked by the end of the day. Oh well.
On the way home we stopped in Carcassonne, which is a fortified city in the South of France. I've decided that my new life plan is to live in a castle in Southern France. Well, that was my plan until we went to Collioure. It is a tiny town in between the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees, so you can imagine how gorgeous it is.
Here's what I learned:
- Tom's are the worst shoes to wear in the rain. Check the weather before you pack for a trip.
- Real Crêpes in France are so yummy
- I really wish I could speak French
