Its very nearly Halloween and I cannot wait for the first holiday of the season. The leaves have turned yellow and orange and fall is in full swing. Its been a bit cold though with temperatures in the 30s (Fahrenheit of course), which actually makes it feel like winter. England has turned me into an avid tea drinker, which is honestly not something I expected to happen, but I have no regrets about it! I've been up to a lot of stuff recently with basketball and rifle club. I got to play in the first BUCS game of the season against Bristol University. Unfortunately we lost, but running through the streets of Bristol trying to catch the train back to Exeter is an experience I will not soon forget. In rifle I've graduated to shooting 5 bull targets, which can be seen below. I've scored a 94 and a 97 in my 5 bull shoots so far, which I think is decent for someone like me who only recently began shooting.
I'm due to attend a Halloween party with rifle this upcoming weekend dressed as a nerd. It turns out I already have the clothes and pieces necessary for that transformation (no surprises there). Don't worry, you'll get see pictures when it happens! After Halloween, my schedule gets really busy as I am travelling every weekend in November. The first weekend in November is the rifle trip to Bisley, after that I'm going to Scotland with Emily (Dublin), next is Geneva with my flatmate Madeleine, and then its Thanksgiving! Madeleine and I have already started planning a huge Thanksgiving celebration that involves watching the parade, playing American football, and eating lots of food, followed by a Christmas movie. It's going to be a great time. Anyway, after Thanksgiving I'm traveling to Amsterdam with Madeleine to meet up with the rest of the squad abroad and then November is over. My stay here is almost halfway through and I can hardly believe it. The first weekend in December I'm taking a day trip to Bath to visit the Christmas markets, and then the semester is over. Its hard to believe how quickly time has flown by me. I'm having a fantastic time and I'm paying attention to my studies as well, so don't worry.
I'll let y'all know how Halloween goes and I''l keep in touch about my travels in the coming weeks.
Cheers!
