Okay, so I know its been a while. I've been pretty busy lately and haven't posted in almost 2 weeks. Last time I posted I was headed off to London, which was fantastic. I met up with Sara (Barcelona) and Casey (Cardiff) and we had an incredible time. It was really low key and laid back and we managed to hit all the important sights. We did the Eye, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, King's Cross Station, and other various museums.
I am having a blast at the University of Exeter right now. The classes are challenging, with Islamic Law & Society probably being the most difficult because I knew nothing about it coming in, but its a really great class. I'm on the first team for Women's Basketball, which has been pretty fun so far. The girls are great. I'm really enjoying rifle club though. My shooting has gotten slightly better, which is exciting, but I am by no means skilled at target shooting.
It has gotten very cold here very quickly, and by cold I mean that its been in the 40s and 50s. Besides making me want to bundle up in scarves, the cold weather has gotten me very excited for the holiday season that is quickly approaching. The kitchen area in my flat is already decorated for halloween, I've begun planning a huge Thanksgiving feast with the help of one of my flatmates for our non American friends, and I've already purchased a Santa hat. I've got some fun trips coming up in the future that I'll be sure to post about in a more frequent fashion when the time comes. In early November I will be traveling to Bisley with the rifle club, which is the national shooting center here, for what is promising to be a very fun weekend. After Thanksgiving, I will be meeting up with the rest of the squad in Amsterdam! I am ecstatic to see everyone all together again.
Until next time I hope everyone in Wilmington stays safe during Hurricane Matthew and I'll try to post more consistently in the near future,
Cheers!
